Vegan With A Caribbean Flare

I came across J's Garden Cafe and what made me stop and taking a second glance was their sign that said  healthy Caribbean food and vegan cuisine, once I saw this I actually did a double take. I saw this as a unique concept and wanted to check them out, and I am very happy I did.

The place is so cozy and everyone their is very friendly and the food what can I say but amazing, I went their with my family and they all ordered different plates and yes we all tasted each others dishes and we loved them all and plan to go back soon.

Their concept came into existence  by blending Caribbean & Vegan eating lifestyles to offer their consumers a place where they can enjoy the best of both worlds. What made this cafe stand out even more to me was before taking your order the waitress asked if anyone at the table had any food allergies.

This means a lot to me since I do have several food allergies and when I do go out to dine I am limited to what I can order and always order the same thing over and over again making my dining experience a bit ritualistic.
Turkey meatballs very delicate tasty and filling
Black bean coconut soup with dumplings this soup is very hearty  and it brought a side of two hot wheat slices of bread I loved his soup the taste was splendid and it brought back memories with my grandmother's home-cooking.
A side order of friend green plantains this went well with the black bean coconut soup
Pan seared Tilapia with Djon Djon rice and nutty green beans the entire dish was delicious
Coconut water to hydrate and the pulp was a nice treat after dinner.
